Sweet & Spicy Peanuts

In a gilded time of my life, I made this recipe with deluxe mixed nuts in a skillet.  You know, the kind of fancy nut mix with walnuts, pecans, cashews, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts and NO peanuts. 

For years, I served sweet and spicy deluxe nuts for New Year's Eve with other fancy snacks.  The nuts were always devoured.

I'm no peanut snob.  I love peanuts.  So why didn't I zhuzh up peanuts with sugar and spice?  Not sure.

But I bought some unremarkable cocktail peanuts and wondered about a possible peanut revival using my old recipe and the microwave.

It's possible.  It's quick.  It's delicious.  Instead of throwing out some lackluster nuts you've spent money on, transform them with this simple recipe.
